Who We Are
The Utes have become a forefront powerhouse in collegiate rugby. Since 2002, Utah has reached the final four in the national championship four times and the elite eight every year but one. In 2010, Utah Rugby captured its first national title winning the 7s championship. Utah Rugby is a non-varsity rugby team, which competes in D1A PAC Rugby Conference, the highest level of competitive collegiate rugby in the country.
Though competition to make the varsity team is intense, Utah Rugby has an open door policy. Any player is welcome to join our off season training program from June to August. Organized team activities begin in August for our fall schedule.
Utah Rugby is a club that aims to provide players with a rugby program that is second to none in Utah. Under the guidance of 15s Head Coach Jon Law, 7s Head Coach Mark Drown, and Director of Rugby Haloti Liava'a, Utah provides a training and playing experience that develops players to the best of their ability in a safe, challenging, and enjoyable environment.
